An Advanced Instruction Manual also is available for baseball
managers and coaches of major all-stars and teams with players
aged 13+. It extends the skills presented in the Basic Manual
and is perfect for players who've already been coached in the
basic fundamentals.

The Advanced Instruction Manual is for players, managers and
coaches with previous experience playing or coaching. It repeats
very little from the Basic Manual. However, although each book
is self-contained and independent of the other, both books are
necessary to cover the complete spectrum of baseball for youth.

|
The Advanced Instruction Manual introduces many new areas to
pitching: the set position; pick-off moves; and kinds of pitches.
In the hitting section, drag and push bunts are taught and hitting
behind the runner is introduced. Base-running lead-offs, keys to
base-stealing and different kinds of slides are taught.

|
Significant attention is devoted to defensive baseball. Various
double-play pivots, cut-off throws and a series of defensive infield
setups are explained. The Advanced Instruction Manual has been
organized around the nine defensive positions, the batter and the
related areas of base-running, sliding and coaching.
